Subtle colors of this mix of wildflowers still blooming with dying Queen Annes Lace and the high grass turning brown. I like the look of the informality and haphazard growth in Nature.
I get those fuzzy things all over me when I'm hunting. Causes me to sneeze and away runs the game. Oh, well. Great shot. I like the mixture of life and death in this one. Give hopes after death. Very thought provoking photo. Nice post Gerry.
With respect to the difference in the number of views and downloads, I like to say (perhaps it's not my business) to the people: this image shall be watched at full screen size to discover its beauty!. Regards, Cornelius
"I never looked for it, gave it no name; yet I knew it always, when the gift of peace came. I stood quite still for the moment that it lasted...Then the light shifted slightly and the moment passed, leaving me...with the lasting echo of its presence.." Diana Gabaldon
It's lovely any way you look at it. The wild asters are really pretty and I love the browns of autumn. Mother nature may appear haphazard, but I bet she knows what she's doing. lol
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

I'm a bit nutty about wildflowers, so I think this is great. I hope that prairie restoration continues and we see more great scenes like this. Thanks for sharing.
