When I look at this picture the bird reminds me of a submarine that has surfaced...anyways it does have a more bluish tint as bird was in shade when picture was taken..also bird is more centered in frame than first upload..

No trees were killed in the sending of this message. However, a large number of electrons were terribly inconvenienced.

Now I like other photo better, go figure. Other one looks more natural. Both are nice posts.

I like your description - it really does look like a submarine rising! Great clarity on the feathers.

It looks like he is loading up his beak, and has it in mind to give you a steady stream of water right in the kisser. Can ducks do that? Hmmmmm. I like the tints on the water, and the overall color to this picture. Nice.

The're both lovely shots, Gerry. Funny how the light temp can make such a difference in the colors.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

isnt it strange how the light can affect colour so much!! Of the two i prefer the other one for the colours though i think!

I like this one too. Did it come out like this or did you do anything with the colors?

Another great shot. I can't decide which one I like best, the colours in both are terrific.
