This was captured yesterday. The color and texture of this fallen leaf on ground attracted my attention. I do not know from what species of tree this leaf fell from but the leaves from it were 6 to 7 inches across...very large leaves.

Just beautiful and with perfect detail. I imagine a blue sky above as thee seems to be blue reflected.

We've had spectacularly large leaves around these parts too. What I especially like about this upload is the light that's playing around on the left-hand side. You've done an exceptional job of presenting this one.

If this leaf had breath, you could smell it. Great, Gerry

I wonder if it's a maple? We've had some of those same leaves. I'm always fascinated by the textures as well and you captured this so nicely.

Gerry, do you have a polarizer filter? That would have made the color really rip from this leaf and eliminated the glare. Still, great focus and creativity.

I saw those leaves too and took a few photos myself. Nothing as nice as this though! Love the way you captured the texture, colour and lighting.

PS: I think it's a maple although the oak leaves were the same colour
