The last couple of mornings I have explored a meadow area of Nature Preserve which is full of different varieties of wildflowers that have gone to seed at this time of year. It is just filled with the subtle colors of Autumn. It also has enabled me to use my macro mode on telephoto lens. This and the next upload were taken in macro mode with selective focus...aperture wide open... Yesterday morning was perfect for shooting as there was no wind.

I like this one alot. The autumnal colors are lovely & this shows that the beauty of nature presents itself in different ways all year long. Excellent post Gerry.

Very pretty, and you're right about the subtle beauty of the dying vegetation in the fall.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

Both your Natures storehouse pictures are superb shots. I like this one expecially for its delicate colour and perfect focus.

I love the simplicity of this image. It's not really extravagant or anything. It's just perfect.
