This is a picture that I plucked from one of my older folders...it was taken about a year and a half ago. I do recall when I took this picture. Actually it was by accident as I was interested in another bird that I seen and took pictures of that day...and have posted here. The other bird I seen that day was an immature Bald Eagle...I do remember I was quite excited to see this Eagle then I seen this guy...

I know how hard it is to capture herons Gerry. Very good job although it's a year and a half ago. Regards, Cornelius

If he had thumbs, I would say he's trying to hitch a ride. Maybe he was just forlorn that you were paying more attention to the eagle. Maybe he thought that was immature. I like the way his coloring matches the rocks. Very good Gerry.

I love this shot Gerry, Looks like a Great Blue Heron, and I lived in Euclid, Ohio when I was younger, right on the shores of Lake Erie, thank you for the memories.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Love the composition Gerry and a fine capture of the bird, I've never seen one like that in real life. He looks very graceful.
