I was walking through a field of high grass and noticed this small stand of what I think are Birch trees about 100 yards away at the edge of bush. So i went over to them to see them and took a few pictures...I do believe that trees are precious to life on this planet...enough of philosphy:))

I love trees too, and silver birch are gorgeous. Just incase anyone was wondering i found this information about the role trees play in the environment. Trees play a vital role in the environment. Not only do they provide character and beauty but they also give us oxygen, help to form rain, absorb some pollutants, reduce soil erosion, act as wind and noise barriers and support much of the world’s wildlife. Enough of philoposy here too . hehehe. Lovely shot Mr P.

I am begining to think that either you have been to Toledo lately, or I have been to Windsor. I have a picture like this also, but it didn't turn out as nice as yours. The colors are great and the picture is nicely composed. Good work.

I simply think Birch Trees are gorgeous, especially this time of the year. The red from the other growth really adds depth to their character. I bet there was a big buck watching you as you took this photo. I agree with Jan about trees and so does my dog Forrest. Good photo Gerry.

This time it isn't the light but the birches who create a wonderful composition with very nice colouring effects. Regards, Cornelius

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes
