This is a macro taken of high grass seed head. I opened the shutter up to f/5.6 to give selective focus and blur background which I think gave soft muted colors in background...

Gerry, thought at first sight (when I had watched only your thumbnail image) that it was a strange insect. But at full sight I 'discoverd' the beauty of this macro. Very good work! Regards, Cornelius

I also thought it was going to be a fly or wasp or something of that sort. The grass seed head looks like it is under a microscope, or...macroscope in this case. Very nice. I love the background again.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

Great effect. Love the hazy background and clarity of the seed head where our focus should be. Great presentation Gerry.
