This is a picture that I took this past Spring. This Immature Great Horned Owl is maybe three months old. He/she has not yet developed her full flying wings yet as one can see downy feathers still on this Owl. Although I was surprised at how big this Owls claws had got to at this early age. I love the look in this Owl's eyes.

When I opened this up, I thought I was looking at the cover of National Geographic. That is such a good picture. The text at the bottom, and the frame are perfect too. Very nice, Gerry.

I too like his look Gerry. I think there was a mouse behind you. You didn't have a logo hat on did you? Say from Disney World.
Just another great page for the coffee table book. Now all we need is a title. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm

What an odd looking bird hey Gregg
The owls are always very quiet in flight perhaps that's why their young are so fluffy !!

He kinda looks like a cross between a koala bear and an owl...must be the juvenile in him!!

I love what you've done with your background ...the differing DOFs really add a lot to the visual appeal of this upload.

What a great capture! This one looks very proud of himself, and rightly so. I've never seen a young one like that.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes
