Took this picture yesterday at Nature Preserve. The pond has went from frozen to thawed out in past week...we had cold night before this was taken and thin layer of ice was on pond. Early morning light gives a dark background.
Very cool Gerry. You're the most optimistic person I know. This is great and will make great desktop. Looks like a spaceship with a leaf around it in outer space.
This is a very interesting picture. Does any of the background have some PS or something in it? Just curious. It looks like a chunck of ice with that leaf stuck to it, traveling through space. Whatever you did to this, if anything, you created an image that makes me keep staring at it. Fantastic, Gerry.

Fantastic shot. Love the darkness of the ice, the iridescence of the leaf. Great textures in everything too. My only grievance is the gray background you put around this. I think it really detracts from the picture.

This is an absolute stunner. 88 is a good c-index rating but this one belongs well into the 90s. Even though I shoot photos for part of my living, images like this inspire me to do better. Thanks for the submission.
Anything that excites me for any reason, I will photograph; not searching for unusual subject matter, but making the commonplace unusual.
