Gerry, based on my recent experience, think that hoar frost makes better wint'ry images than snow. Think this beatiful image prooves what I've just said. Excellent work again.

I agree with Cornelius. I also believe the hoar frost looks better than the ice covered tree's I've posted as well. That being said, you did great job with the contrasts and I like the remnants of the fall colors. You have a very good eye Gerry and I'm looking for Buck in background.
After that water freezes over completely, are you going to do some ice skating? You got some nice color in this shot. I like the comp. Very nice, Gerry.
As always, Gerry dear, lovely image ...
Absolutely agree with Cornelius about frost [we both have no choice LOL]
But but but - I heard they were promising cold weather in our part of Europe after 20 January !!!
Another great shot, but like the last of your photos I commented on, I think you went with the wrong color to frame it. The bright white sort of pulls the white out of the picture, making it less stunning. Had you gone with something much higher contrast, black would be best in my opinion, you would have really trapped all that white, wintery beauty in the frame. The result would be a photo that appears much more vibrant with the effects of winter shinning through.

Oh how absolutely picturesque! How marvelous this scene would appear on a lovely Christmas card... my friend....Your title discribes my thoughts....as I view this remarkable image...
I think that this photo is a classic example of how a well photographed scene can capture an audience.... without the color we are so accustomed to seeing in most photos...
This image expresses nature....nature as it realistically is...other elements...are not needed for embellishment...just nature as we view it in reality....the bronz colored trees...contrasting nicely with the thin layer of ice on the river...well...this is Canada...right Gerry?.....
What I view in this photo is all that I need to create a northern Canadian wintry 'mood'.....it is lovely...I will add this photo to my favorites...and with pleasure.....
Thank you for all of your visits to my galleries Gerry...and especailly for your recent visit to 'Peace'...as they are deeply appreciated....
