As "Owd Bob" refers too...the "Rubbish Bin"...I was going through some older pictures of mine and came across some pictures of these Mute Swans that I took this past Spring. I remember the morning I took these...It was out at a place called Big Creek which is out in county and this creek flows down into Lake Erie. There was quite a few Swans in water that morning...the sky was very overcast with fog...which gave this grey color to water which I think enhances the Swans.

I think you caught them grooming. I think Jim Bob's right about their relationship. Very good photo, Gerry.

I agree with you Gerry that the grey water enhanced the swans, however there is still some nice reflection in the water.
Good image!

You're killin' me with your "Rubbish Bin" designation. Cropping and framing this the way you have is pure genius IMHO. The two different poses captured here are marvelous and having both facing in opposite directions is nothing short of perfect. Clarity full screen is excellent. Maybe we should have a "Rubbish Bin" gallery ... because this sort of "rubbish" surpasses many "Permanent" gallery postings.

A really great capture, Gerry. The swans look as if they've had a lovers' tiff. I really like the presentation and framing as well.

The soft light from the overcast plays well on the swans and the water. Great composition. Well done, Gerry.

nice portrait shot. Good symmetry. Maybe brush out what appears to be the foot of the swan on the right sticking out behind it's back. I'm not normally a fan of borders/framing, but this one compliments the image quite well. I like the way there appears to be the black border and then a white border inside that, which narrows the water surface and seems to focus the eye on the swans and symmetry well. Happy snapping.
