This is a picture taken in Oct. 2006. It is of a two-masted schooner which was docked at riverfront park in downtown Windsor on Detroit River. I think this ship was touring the Great Lakes. I know I took this early on a Sunday morning in Oct because I recall I could hear celebration going on across the river in Detroit, Michigan...but could not see Detroit because of fog. The reason for celebration was that the Detroit Tiger baseball team had beat the New York Yankees for the American League pennant and advanced to World Series against the St. Louis Cardinals...and we know how that turned out TICK!!...Anyways that is what I remember about that morning...

Beautiful image Gerry...Your choice of crop enhances the majesty of this ship, and of course the fog adds a dramatic quality. Once again you have shown great perception and skill. Hope you don't mind if I fav this one. Thanks

Even in this misty fog, I have a clear, vivid recollection how that series turned out Gerry. Good photo and I feel like I'm sneaking onboard. Stowaway. Makes me think of Casblanca for some reason. I know it was a plane but.............. Good photo Gerry.

Whoa Gerry....awesome shot! The fog gives this boat an ethereal appearance. There is enough light shining through that the viewer can see, but plenty is obscured to allow the mind to wander......to places of vivid imagination!
Go Cardinals! ;=)

This kinda reminds me of a ghost ship. If it was black and white, it would look like a scene from The Twilight Zone. I like ships like that. Very nice, Gerry.

Hey there my friend! This really caught my eye, it was on the main caedes page just now..and how totally filled with soft drama this is. I love fog. Well, where I live, a person either has to love it or hate it!! And I love the softness of it all.
It must have felt so good to feel the quiet of this moment. And I'm so happy you took this shot. The depth is wonderful too. V
