This is a picture of my old Nikon FG-20 SLR 35mm film camera. I bought this in 1982. It served me well through the years. It uses manual focus. It has been sitting idle since I bought my Nikon D50 digital...I am thinking of using it again though...

Hi Gerald,
Great times won't go away so easily, I guess, (~8 8~)
Very nice looking camera, and a wonderful picture of it,
I've shot with a D50 for about two years, gorgeous camera (now upgraded),
Hope you two (err three) have lots of fun shooting, (~8
Nicely done,

Thanks for sharing
Kind regards
Tim

Thanks for reminding of the days when cameras were far less ergonomic. Just look at all that beautiful brushed aluminum. You know, that funny word, "metal". Such a strange sounding word.

I know a few amateur astronomers who would love to mount one of these on their telescopes. No automatic features to defeat to make astrophotos, rugged and reliable. The perfect setting for this fine old workhorse. Beautifully done, Gerry.

Gerry - love this image - I too have an old Minolta bought sometime in the early eighties - I took it out not too long ago to see if it was still 'tight' and took Struttin’ His Stuff That's when I discovered a hairline crack in the housing(edited out in this image) =( Oh well. I still have it and it's still a treasure that I may fix one day....

Have nearly the same Gerry. I don't throw away my old Canon FT/QL that served me as a true friend for a couple of years. Think there's no longer a ratio to keep it, just sentiments.
Nice, nostalgic, image.

I too have my old Canon with two lenses and think about using it too. This camera looks in pristine condition which doesn't surprise me. Your posts are so meticulous that I wouldn't expect anything else. Very good Gerry.

Having finished using my 35mm SLR only relatively recently I must inform you folks beware of nostalgia !! I rarely like monochrome Gerry but it suits this subject well. :o)

I have an old Olympus OM10 that is about the same age. I never use it anymore. I can't figure out how to plug it in to the computer. He he. Your picture really brings back a blast from the past. I love the B&W.

What a beautiful little camera! I have a Nikon, and I'm into Brand Loyalty maybe a little more than I should. I really like this picture!

Nice job, Mr. P. And if you have a flash attachment for this, I'd be willing to buy it off you!!

I love the black and white presentation... the canvass on which you took this shot, and I'm not usually a black and white fan.

Don't you just love living in this time of electronics and earthshaking changes? Makes one's head spin!

You should. I think the old 35mm take wonderful pictures. I wish I had one like that.

My first camera was a Canon AE1.
Your actual D50 gives a very sharp capture. Congrats :-)

Looks very aged, but in a good way. One day you'll have to develop your films yourself, so might as well hoard the materials now.
