This is a closeup of emerging Fern plants. I was in an area of the Nature Preserve not frequented much by people....maybe 100 yards off walking path in a patch of Fern plants with another patch of MayApples coming up next to Ferns. The forest floor was a carpet of beautiful color. So here I was down at ground level...getting an insects view of this vegetation and the only sound I heard was the birds singing. Anyway after about 20 minutes of taking these macro shots I looked up and two Deer were maybe 30 yards from me staring at me and probably wondering what this guy was doing on the ground. So took about 20 shots of them...but unfortunately they were not good pictures.

Why do the pictures come out square when the lens is round?? Picture Purrrfect .
That green one with the yellow trim is gorgeous. A close up macro of just it would be a sizzler.
