Another shot of European Skipper...there seems to be quite a few of these guys in this meadow which is ablaze with wildflowers blooming right now and probably all summer. This morning as I drove up to this area of Nature Preserve...at six in morning with mist in air...I observed a coyote about 100 yards down walking path. It was quite a thrill for me just to see him...did not take any pictures as he was too far away and not much light. one other thing I should mentioned. A couple of weeks back I posted two pictures of an adult Screech Owl perched in a tree right near a nest box where there were young Owls in nestbox. I was hoping to get pictures of Young when they emerged from nest box but have not seen adult Owls for over a week and the thinking here at Nature Preserve is that the adult owls took babies back into bush for more cover...and would be very hard to find them now...but not impossible.

Gerry I enjoy your images very much as they are, without any exception, wonderful, but like to say that your narrative is wonderful as well. Reading it, does me take for granted that you love nature in all its aspects. Thank you for sharing this with us.
Regards, Cornelius.
