This image was taken about a week and a half back. I was taking closeups of vegetation in this meadow when I looked up and seen this Doe staring at me then seen another Doe...as I took some pictures of them seen one healthy Buck farther back in field. Was able to get all three in picture...had been seeing this same Buck with Does last few weeks as it is mating season.

Must be not only a healthy buck, but a friendly buck as well, accepting that you were that close to the does. In mating season one has to be careful, as a buck can be than rather agressive.

A great shot of a most opportune moment Gerry. It is difficult to get them to stop except during the mating season. They really blend in with the vegetation.

Those tails are gorgeous... And so huge! I never really realized how big thee white tail deer tails are. Great capture, and even the graininess in the background adds to the field style.
