Remember when water did not came in bottles with all kinds of colours and without vitamines, calcium, lemon-taste and I don't know what more?
These pictures are taken in Rome, Piazza della Republica, january 2005
Super image and oh so true statement about the water. Welcome to Remember When. It seems that this is going to be a big hit. Happy to see your work.

Photography is not a trade - it is an art. It is more that an art.
It is a solar phenomenon,
where the artist collaborates with the sun.

This is a great image and very well done...and yes, I remember...drinking spring water straight from a spring, not bottled, and pumping water from a well out in the country too...so cool, clear, and fresh.:Pat.
What a great idea, and so well presented! I remember drinking water straight from mountain streams! One doesn't dare anymore...what a shame. Thanks for the reminder.
Very effective, I like this one (the colour particularly, it works really well). Needs to be seen full-screen really.. Not too sure about the lines between the images though, I'd love to see this pic without them.. Still, that's a minor point. High marks. Was the asymmetry deliberate? :)
Great work... I like the separate sections.... and the sepia effect... and I remember drinking fresh water from streams... pity you cant really do that anymore... nothing like fresh cold water....
Makes me thirsty just looking at it. Must be a good pic then...
Really very nice, each picture separate as well as the composition of the three of them.
But words are things, and a small drop of ink, falling, like dew, upon a thought produces that which makes thousands, perhaps millions think and smile.
Art is everywhere, except it has to pass through a creative mind.
I remember that was the best water ever, almost like candy. Now I had a friend who drank from a fresh spring or so she thought last summer, and she ended up with parasites. Made her very very ill.
Caution to everyone.

Ha, when I read the thumbnail I thought it said "Remember when water tasted like Glooh". Thankfully I don't! I do remember when water started being sold here in bottles though and how silly I thought it all was... I still do. And I still drink good ol' tap water. Nice idea and great image to go with it.
I remember the importance of water, and knowing where to find it! To a young boy with the spirit of adventure, a bike and NO desire to return home, sources of water were important.
One summer I found the greatest treasure. A tap key that allowed me to turn on the taps on the side of the nearby school. I had a BOUNDLESS supply of water available and no need to return home until supper. Drat ..I wish I had that key (but now I love returning home).
Really nice composition- it reminds me of a spigot in the center of this village in Kosovo that poured out water from the nearby mountain. It was soo cleat and cold- but in this case it was full of parasites and I got verrry sick. It was worth it though!
I love the use of the three pictures combined into one overall composition. :)
Beautiful, nicely put together and the tone is wonderful. As is the concept, I don't think I've ever had not-processed water. How I would love to visit Rome.
I am WAY behind THANKING, viewing and commenting! My apologies! I care very much for everyone and will catch up asap! Thanks for all the nice comments on my work!
