I like this monochrome view, it seems to let us concentrate on the subject better than colour can sometimes. I’m surprised that this place hasn’t been fenced off to keep people out.

There are three colours, Ten digits and seven notes, its what we do with them that’s important. Ruth Ross

Trisbert,
It is fenced off- in a way. You have to pay admission (behind the photograph) and then go for a stroll until you reach a fenced walkway that only covers one side of stonehenge. It's not fun that you can only see one side but then on the other hand there are no people in your photographs. There is a "special" side that people can pay lots of extra money on a special day of the week to see.

I love this shot - it is always interesting to get a new persepective on a familiar location. The long shadows and the monochrome are effective. Nice job!

What a great shot. I've been to Stonehenge myself, and you've really created the mystical atmosphere..especially without people in the pic. The idea of using B/W and long shadows add to the enigma.

Nice Capture B&W was a good way to go with this pic but it would have been nice in color as well, Thanks for sharing.
