There is nothing but curves on old Brunels Suspension bridge, I'm sure there are still more angles for me to explore yet. :o)

If you have the time I'm sure your enjoy reading an account about Sarah Anne Henley the only person to survive a suicide jump from this Bridge !

Read this poetic verse of the event below. :o)

Once in Victorias golden age, when crinolines were all the rage a dame in fashionable attire would change her life for one up higher.

So up to Clifton Bridge she went, and made a parachute descent.

But though twas not the ladys wish a boatman hooked her like a fish, and thus a slave to fashions jaws was snatched from out of deaths hungry jaws.

This story's true I'll have to know, and thus it only goes to show...............

Looks as though your hanging off the side here to take this one. An excellent shot, and I am going to read that informtation now. You would think that once you have stepped away from the bridge that would be it so sounds interesting. What a claim to fame.

I know the feeling. I cleaned out two complete pages last week. I like the angle of this shot. The cables look great against that beautiful sky. Good work, Phil.

Hey Phlossie, you must have had an expert with you when taking this one! Great shot mate, I got this one too, (honest!) and I got the same from the other side. You done well not getting any people in this one, or did you paint them out? Or was this another time? And how dare these people get in our way when we're taking pics for Caedes??? lol

This shot was taken after your visit TC along with this one, notice the identical skies.
Yes there were plenty of people there but none crossing at the time, this angled shot conceals the red, & white cones behind the barrier rails.
Thanks for calling round buddy. :o)

I only wish I was a daredevil EJ it would be a great way to make a living. This shot was taken from the Leigh woods suspension tower, there's a square walkway there that juts out across the Avon Gorge.

Well, you grabbed the attention of my brain once more, and I read that whole link from top to bottom with no skips at all...and I enjoyed every word.

Course I love history, and especially the stuff that never gets in the "books".

Nice shot, Flossie!

This is really good Phlossie. If I cleaned up my gallery, I wouldn't have one. Such a great angle and colors are perfect. I am glad you have "gone digital."

Fantastic angle on this shot, Phil! It does look like you're hanging over the edge. The one time fashion became a life saver.
Amazing story.
