The destruction of Sherbornes old Castle was very thorough. I chose to upload this shot because you can still see some ornate detail.

' Life of Brian ' springs to mind . . .

Composition, focus, colour, DoF, all 1st class, a mother of a post I would say Mr. F.....

Kind regards,

Mr. Plimuff.

I wonder how it looked back when. This wall looks like it might fall one day. Beautiful photography, Phil.

It's wonderful stonework Phil which looks great against that wonderful, blue sky. When you look at wonderful ruins like these don't you wish you could have seen the building when it was new and complete?

Thats something I have always wanted to do actually, go back in time and see how ruins like this would have looked like in their prime. Very nice upload indeed.

What craftsmanship they had. And not one power tool to do it with. Great job of capturing the detail of the wall.

I wouldn't stand too close to that. It's looks like it could come down at any time, and if the wind is a blowin' in the wrong direction, you could get conked on the noggin. LOL. I like the angle of this shot. Nice detail in the textures. Pretty neat, Phil.

True craftsmen were much better than the stamped out, molded items we use now. Good example Phlossie.
