Hi "goo." First of all, let me say that the detail in the giraffe is very good. I also like the expression on his/her face.

Now, if I may, I would like to suggest two minor things which may be of some help. I would have moved the giraffe to the far right (if the negative space you used in this photo is important to you, artistically). By either moving the shot to the right, or by simply mirroring this one, you would have the negative space side to the left, where, on most desktops, people have their icons. Afterall, you do not want to cover up your subject with icons.

The other suggestion pertains to size. 840x630 is way too small for today's monitors and thus will handicap you in downloads simply because of that. If you can take photos and post them at larger sizes, your downloads will increase. It is less a matter of your talent, the subject matter, or composition, but more that it does not fit most monitors.
