The sun filters through the bamboo blinds to project shadows onto the ivy on my table.

i like this...the "imperfect" lines of the bamboo give it an interesting organic feeling

Interesting and effectful image. The dark object on the left side disturbs a bit but you canīt always get everything you want...lol

This is very eye catching. I agree that cropping out the dark mass in the near left might improve it a bit more. Good eye! - Dave

Great eye. I like the creativity of the perspective and give you praise for having seen this first, in your mind and then executing.

This one, as they say, jumped out at me. The colour palette is absolutely perfect. Add the contrasts in textures, materials and that wonderful play of light ... nice.

One aspect that could be tweaked to make this go from great to outstanding, would be the DOF. I don't mind the image as is, it just suggests so much more. Any possible chance of a re-take? I would definitely be interested in seeing your results, if so.

And that request ... is a true compliment ... 'really' ;) .

Just a comment: if one looks at the right of the photo one can see the rail of the chair at the table. The dark area at the end of the rail is the upright of the chair. Should one remove the dark spot, it might leave the rail just hanging in the air, generating additional questions. That, and it would mean the photo isn't accurate.

One additional point is that I am too new at all this to know what DOF means, so am unable to decide whether to do it or not.

Thank you all for taking the time to post comments and critques here. It is received with an open heart on this side of the screen.

I like the right colour saturation and the focus game on this focus shot.

Hm I had not noticed this picture before..and I thought it was just abstract designs..and now I see the ivy..VERY nice shot...I like how you did this. I've done similar things with blinds...and shadow and light. Its very nice how you got this creation.

The different layers of light to feast your eyes on here...the wood grain catching the rays, the blinds revealing slits of brightness, the translucent quality of the leaves allowing light to permeate them, and the way the light makes a golden outline on the three nearest leaves...make this picture a true gem.
