There's a local festival happening in town now and it occurs about 6 blocks from the house. This year they added a hot air balloon night glow, which I was able to capture. I thought it interesting so many people were attending under the impression the balloons would take off. I pointed out that they are at the mercy of the wind and in the dark they wouldn't be able to see a landing site or the potential for running into power lines when they descended--not to mention they were so very close to the local airport with flight after flight of planes landing and taking off with fire retardant to fight the wildfires currently raging all over the American West. Still, was happy to get some night glow shots. Redmond, Oregon, USA.
