Lookin good Graeme, can you throw a little more detail in so it is possible to see the composition a bit better. Just my opinion:-) But, maybe that will ruin it?

i kinda agree with Darryl....mainly so one could see the rock formations, but i like the way the focus is drawn by the clearer set of steps, much like the comparison between man made products(clear cut & as neat as poss) & nature(free from such restrictions)
i like the colours too...got an age ole' feel about it : )

ur style is like no other....u r a painter indeed. give the man a computer & he still manages to paint :p

ooh it went down better than i expected.. :D.. (Darryl.. there will be a limit to the detail tweaking..i know i can adjust the mid and back ground layers.. but anything to the fore of the image is more or less as detailed as i can go... i can remove a bit of my GRiMery to return detail.... but it hides some of the joins and editing.. especially the right and left edge rock formations which i had to paint by hand over the top of some un-used castle wall photos.) my what a long bracket.. :D thanks very much everyone i really like to edit photos to my own evil ends... can't wait for the new competition :D Ahh Tracy i'll have to make you your own special castle image ( pm me if you want anything specific ). cheers avi.. glad you spotted it.. i spent ages adjusting the focus section by section to get just the right emphasis.. ( at one point i had it looking super 3D, but at the sacrifice of far to much detail)... Thank you Lucy and Pim as s you might guess im into the dark and disturbig.. ever so slightly.... and last but not least.. thank you Ashley.. ever since i could read.. fantasy has been the domain of my mind... thats why i love castles so much now :D

Looking good. You always have great color choices, so I'm never going to mention them again. I think a little more detail would be nice, but after reading your comment, I realize that that wouldn't work well. Anyway. Great Job.

I love the colors in this picture, how the greens seem to melt into the greys and it makes it seem eerie. I love it! 12/10!!!!!! :)
