i was playing around trying to edit 3 shots of this keep and sky together.. i couldn't get far enough away to get it all in shot on my digi..so i took one of the foreground and keep base and one of the keep top.. now im getting a very strange perspective effect..like this is a model of a castle and not real at all :D what you think?

Your right, it does look a lot like a model castle. Like something they would use for a movie or something. Weird how you got it to be like that.

GRiM, I think the "model" effect is down to the heavy blurring you use on the backgrounds. (I noticed a similar feel to "Storm Ruin".) The stones are sharp and detailed, while the background is way "out of focus" - the only way you'd get that amount of blur in RL would be if the stonework was very much closer to the eye or the camera, and for it to be that close it would have to be very small. This one you've also got a blurred foreground, which seems to emphasise the effect. Hope that makes sense....

Oh, and nice work by the way ;-)

Yup, looks a bit weird. :D But in a good way. Is it a bit blurred by you or did it turn out that way in the shots? Field of depth feels a bit inconsequential but I could be wrong.

spot on Si.. its all down to me exploring the blur in PS.. trying to create extra depth.. but this image didn't work out so well.. its the fact that i had to join to images.. as i could'nt get far enough back to get all of the keep in shot.. i had my back pressed up against the outer catle wall.. so i had 2 fairly poor shots.. so i needed a fair emount of abstraction and GRiMificatio to make them look half decent.. and then i developed extreme model-itis.. a rare PS disease :D

It's like I'm watching a stop-motion movie. You should edit in some goblins or something, as Avi's comments bring to mind.

Interesting how you made this image. Very eerie mood to this. I like the darkened wall & entrance to the castle. The mist at the bottom, adds a good touch. Neat castle window...Did I just see Dracula? Thanks for alittle scare :*>
