We're having another bad forest fire year. Most of the smoke around here is from the Sawmill Fire Complex near Rock Creek. The sun is rarely visible through the smoke but when it is, it has an eerie red glow.
Where is the fire at up there? There's a raging forest fire that's burned about 4,800 acres of land down here along the Big Horns (in Big Horn)...it's so sad how much smoke is produced, it's scary as well. Though the sun does look quite intense through the smoke. Nice shot :)
Amazing. Forest fire season is sometimes intense around here and while that makes for a surreal climate, there is no denying the beauty of that setting. Crazy gold light, red orb sun, obfuscated distances, unexpected diffusions. Well done capturing this in your lens; it's lovely.
"There are no rules and regulations for perfect composition. If there were we would be able to put all the information into a computer and would come out with a masterpiece. We know that's impossible. You have to compose by the seat of your pants." -Arnold Newman
