This is a heavily effected picture of Loray Mill in Gastonia, NC. At one time, the mill was the largest textile producer in the world. It was also the site of a major milestone is U.S. labor history---the 1929 Loray Mill Strike. The building has deteriorated over the years after production ceased. It's architecture is beautiful as well as functional. Currently, there are plans to turn this historic building into high-end condos.
Both behind the lens and then that of your post processing/sweetening.
Quite a sophisticated image.
Intriguing and unique perspective, given the converging lines present in the that of the pavement stones/asphalt(?) in the foreground. Enhanced by the grasses peeking up and then that of the vignetting.
Add in the tilt/receding perspective captured of the building itself, no question that you are a superb visual 'guide' for the viewers of your work. You achieved a wonderful compositional balance
Beautiful colour. Really a strong element in and of itself, in my humble opinion. Repetitive shapes and forms of the windows, lines ... sophisticated indeed.
+favs for me.
And but of course, thank you for sharing your talents with us. This is a great image. :o)
