Google search Images for "Halictid" Lots of edu sites with pictures of your bee. Of course none of them tell you whether green stingers hurt worse than yellow.

Thank you for the great shot.. has excellent clarity and color.. Wish I could see the entire flower, but then the bee would be too small to see so well. There are so many green varieties of bees...Looks more like a green hornet or wasp than a honey bee... many types will collect pollen. I like the way the center of the flower is so deep in color that it looks black, but you can still see down inside of the center cones if you lok hard enough.. has depth. ~Ouimon~
