This is a good image, Greg. I notice the way the side of the falls form a "V", and the vertical lines formed by the water intersect the horizontal lines formed by the rock shelf. The geometry of this shot juxtaposes well with the soft natural subject matter.
Looks like a beautiful day at Buttermilk Falls. I was in Ithaca, New York for two months and had a chance to see the falls - excellent photo! I love the light and shadow in this shot.

My most famous image: Speaking Words of Wisdom
I hold it true that thoughts are things; They're endowed with bodies, breath and wings:
And that we send them forth to fill the world with good results, or ill.
That which we call our secret thought speeds forth to earth's remotest spot, leaving it's blessings or it's woes like tracks behind it as it goes.
We build our future, thought by thought for good or for ill, yet know it not.
Yet so the universe was wrought .
Thought is another name for fate.
Choose then thy destiny and wait, for Love brings Love and Hate brings Hate. - Henry Van Dyke.
A wonderful picture, and technically excellent. I can appreciate your accomplishment of capturing the motion of the water, the detail in the darker area, and the sunlight reflecting off the center of the falls. Well done. It's all about the light.
Nice shot, the lighting really reflects the falls well.
If you travel to upstate NY the best falls are Robert H. Treman state park and Watkins Glen. I've been to every state park in the area and they are all beautiful.
