Trying my hand at a little manipulation. The photo of the mountain lake was taken during my family trip to the Adirondacks this summer. I added the fisher from my "Fly Fishing" photo. Let me know what you think!

Excellent manip, particularly in matching the light and also the subtle shadow in the stream below the figure.

I agree with Camerahound and June. High marks. Not everyone can make a man walk on water! LOL

Hmm not sure about the fisherman. Was gonna say that he gives scale to the image, but the more i look the weirder it looks. Like theres this big wide river that looks to all intense and purposes really deep and theres this funny little man standing there. Not sure he is the right scale for the image.

Having said that, i can ignore the little man and it becomes a stunning shot, really mystical and you can smell mother nature at her greatest and most powerful. Kinda reminds me of the story of Pocahontas. I expect indians to come out of the trees at any minute and go down to the river to collect water. An excellent capture of times gone by when the word was simplier!

I like the idea, and the figure is blended into the image very well. However, having been there, I think the guy is about half the size he should be.

Good idea, Greg, but there are no ripples around him... Nice landscape though :-)

The addition of the fisherman adds a different dimension to the otherwise lonely image......... but he could be much bigger.... :)

I think this is a fantastic shot. It is only because I have been told that you have manipulated it that I can believe it is an adulterated photo. The aesthetic scenery is instantly engaging. And because you've captured the essence of the Adirondacks State Park so well you've encouraged me to find out more about the place. Fine work.

It's better to have a living dog, than a dead lion.

I have been browsing your photos and I'm really impressed. I like seeing artistic behavior. Keep up the good work.

Hate it when people change a perfectly good photo. Leave them as natural as possible.

Nature is uhmmm... "natural" but it is also defined by our impact upon it, to whatever degree, so I don't have a problem with the fisherman in here. It's hard to say if he should be larger considering there is nothing else in the photo for determining scale -- trees come in all sizes. It's a good manip though, nicely done, but I'm thinking he could be a little softer with a little less contrast. Everything else in the photo looks like there's a light rain coming down and he looks sharp and dry. Otherwise it's a good shot.
