This photo was taken during my visit to Wales this past weekend. This little waterfall flows into one of the resevoirs in the Brecon Beacons that provides water to the city of Cardiff. Hope you like it!
To quote Mom, "Oh God, that's beautiful!!!". I agree. When I looked at the map and saw how close you were to the Brecon Beacons, I was really hoping you'd get up there. Very glad you did! (That is one of the places the SAS trains by the way).
This is a very nice image.
When I'm shooting images like this I like to do something I call selective pruning. I look through the viewfinder for any elements that can detract from the images impact. In this case, if it were possible, I would have removed the limbs in the upper right hand corner. Right now they compete for attention with the waterfall.
As it is, I like the vertical format, as that what it was meant to be.
It's a very soothing image and will look good on my desktop for this week. Thanks for sharing it.
A Photograph is more than a still image of the real, it is a doorway into the unreal, it allows you to see through the eyes of the photographer, and see how they see the life around them.
