a deer in the west midlands safari park. i know its not a sika deer, in fact i cant remember what it was, but i liked the title. 500mm from the car about 100 feet away, ao he kept on sleeping undisturbed.
Looks a bit like a fallow deer from this angle!...I know Sika are a lot smaller, but I ain't never seen one!...
Used to use the Antler's for making 'stick handles!..
Love the mode you done this in! and he does look real sleepy!..musta known you were there eh!
*You will have noticed that I haven't been commenting as much on your fine images!..This is because of the pains in my hands!..the constant use of the keyboard, makes this difficult..so, my dear friends..I can only apologise to you all in advance!*

"The artist is a receptacle for emotions that come from all over the place; from the sky, from the earth, from a scrap of paper, from a passing shape, from a spider’s web." Pablo Picasso
Yep, that's a Fallow Deer. You can tell by it's light coat and short head. Sika deer have almost simular antlers but they have darker coats with rows of white spots. Nice shot and title though.
