Based on my expierence(and thats not a lot) portraint setting picks up the hair detail even on animals. Nice shot though. A better name for this photo might be "attention!)lol....

A fantastic shot and for me the details are wonderful as it achieves what you want it to.
Perfect composition and colours. I love how they are all looking elsewhere with the exception of the one in the center.
