This area is just so photogenic...The Li River cruise was truly one of the highlights of a great tour through China. Despite the river traffic, one of my favourite afternoons of the trip. Again, I removed the colour due to very harsh lighting conditions.

Herman, I for one, like the otherworldly look and feeling that this image portrays. I find Sepia toning a very effective tool when the light is so frustrating in color.
How lucky you were to be at this spot and I am very envious
This showed up in my voting booth last night but I was too tired to score it and comment on it effectively. I'm VERY glad I still had an opportunity to score it today.
If any image ever deserved a 10 from me, it is this. It also found its' way into "My Favorites Gallery" and on my desktop for next week. Thank you for sharing your travel experiences with us.

Wow, what a place. The part of the world's rivers seem to be especially wonderful. What a lovely capture you have here. The otherworldly feel like Michael said, is very present. The color choice makes me think of the rivers of Vietnam during the war. Though this image is peaceful, it looks as if it could have a heavy lidded history( such as the war) , very intriguing. Nice work............................Amaris

Yesterday's history. Tomorrow's a mystery. Today's a gift. That's why it's called the present.

Beautifuuly taken and your treatment is spot-on. Mystery, truly sublime scenery. One of the places I would have loved to visit in my travelling days.
Great shot, truly magnificent.

As soon as I glanced at this pic, I was like "CHINA". I think I really like this pic, I might even love it. I know why you have the top and bottom trim, but I would have liked to see this pic without them... If you can repost it without the trims, it would go right onto my desktop!
Cheer up,
Shiba
