This image was also taken at pit #1 of the Terra Cotta Soldiers Museum in Xi'an, China. It is of a fraction of the front rows of archers. None wore armour, as it was thought this permitted unrestricted motion of this group, While not evident in this image, all of their right hands were grasped, thought to be holding longbows, which decomposed. Many bronze arrows have been recovered from the site.

I remember, just last week at trivia being asked what terra cota was. I like the way this is shot, and what is shown
