This is a photo I took last summer using my Canon digital camera. I like it (for many reasons), but wanted to see what others thought of it as well. It is of 6th Lake (about 1/2 mile from where it meets 7th Lake), in Inlet, NY. Taken in August at about 7:00 AM. Please let me know what you think...

I like it. I like the composition, and the misty mood of it. I can almost feel the tranquility and peacefulness of the place, as it is before the day wakes up. Reflections look great in the water, and orange sun warms i the image up just right.

Very nice moody grey misty look with the sun just peeking through. Good capture of the reflection on the glassy lake.

I think it looks like it will be a glorious day! What a great capture of the early morning fog on a small lake! It makes one want to get out there in a canoe and make some ripples.

I think this is a mighty fine image. It captures well the feeling of such a morning and invokes a longing in me to stand in that very spot with a morning coffee in hand. Such is a perfect picture, well presented.

Thanks!

If photoimagery places YOUR work on HIS desktop, you have arrived. I like it also.. The sun barely visible thru the fog is a nice touch. This is a most lovely wallpaper candidate for people's desktops.

Hello.....Most outstanding images don't have a lot of clutter or many different points of interest. Usually, there is one main focal point and a secondary point of interest to "lead the eye" through the image....You should be really proud of this fine piece of work...All the best....Mick.

I think this is just a most lovely photo. Its so very soft and I can almost feel the peacefulness of the early monring light. You have captured that wonderful sunrise and then to have it reflect on the water, along with the reflections of the little boat houses..its just beautiful. Thank you so much for posting this. I look forward to seeing more shots like this soon I hope...verena

Putting this one in my favorites. Not just because it's a truly wonderful image. To me it's a wonderful memory. I've been out in the early morning fog on a pontoon boat rented at Old Forge. We traveled lakes 1 thru 4. Your image reflects exactly the scenes I can remember so fondly. If only I had the camera I have now instead of a "clunker" at that time. Thanks for posting and THANKS for the memory.

Exceptional. There is nothing to fault in this image. It has a certain simplicity, but only through brilliant composition and balance.....!! A+
