The 8th so far. This has a very shallow DOF, so it's a bit, err, soft... It seems oriental to me, although it's not even an oriental flower so I don't know why! By the way, all of this pictures are being taken with a Canon EOS 300D. Please vote and comment fairly but truthfully! :P

Altho I love the colour, it is not sharp enough, it seems very out of focus...so the blurriness is very distracting to me. I think if you could put your total focus in the center, the stamen, that would be awesome...Verena

I like the outcome of this combined with the border ...it works fine. Very polished looking image!

The softness suits the flower well - the shape and focus is perfect on the centre of the stamen and the framing is excellent - high marks form me!

until now i like this the second most of this series. (best is 3 because of it's bit abstract)
the dof is great and i love the placeing. it reminds me of rising sun somehow...
