Set amid the tranquil woodlands around Falls Creek Lake, the Ida Cason Callaway Memorial Chapel remains an inspiring tribute to Callaway Gardens co-founder Cason Callaway's mother. This chapel, reminiscent of 16th-century Gothic chapels, has a design that includes fieldstone quartz and other natural materials, plus six stained glass windows depicting the Southern forest in a progression of seasons. Its beauty is in its simplicity and in its setting that entreats you to spend a few moments in quiet reflection. Taken while on our May 2012 visit to Pine Mountain, Georgia. Hope you enjoy!

Thanks to everyone who has taken the time to comment, download or view this image of the quaint little chapel. It is in a remote location with the only sounds being the trickling of a little stream, the gentle breeze in the trees, and an occasional songbird. Anyone interested in a relaxing getaway with plenty of natural scenery should visit Callaway Gardens. We loved it! Thanks again, Hollis
