I dont believe I've ever seen a macro of a stamen before...particularly one that is done with its production and is about retire...I do wonder what that little light piece is that still looks very alive in the center..hoping for an extended growing season? lol..I also like the colors here and I think it's going to make a great desk top, but I'll just have to try it out I guess *smiles* :)PJ

Pretty colors, amazing clarity, and fills my whole screen, which I always appreciate, not liking frames or black strips.
But my opinion is, this shot is a little TOO close, if that's possible. That's to say, it's very pretty, but I'll bet would have been even prettier from a short distance away, showing more petal.
