The nest has been in our carport for weeks. The kids never told me about it until the eggs wee hatched. Due to the location of the nest I never was able to get a good shot of the babies until they tried to leave the nest.
This little fellow did take to kindly to the idea of flight. He hobbled around the yard most of the morning. By early afternoon though he was gone.
I hope the neighborhood cat didn't get him.
Anyway I was able to get this one good close up. The parents kept buzzing my head everytime I got too close.
