Strong, evocative pic. The house is an ordinary house, probably lived in by ordinary people who go to work, cook their own meals, and play ball on Saturday afternoons. And to see what happened to them. I wish we had a "Journalistic" category on Caedes, because that is what this picture is.
It was very sobering. I was part of a stormchasing crew, and we stopped and surveyed the damage of the tornado we were watching. We got here the next day to see the damage. We were very respectful of the residents picking up their belongings.
No photos, no staring at them, etc. But like you say, they were regular people, living regular lives in small town America. I have another shot of a photo album on the ground with pictures falling out of it. Very poignant.
