This is one for Les and his Apophysis Challenge . No mutations, scripts or any post work were used in this one. Just a manipulation of the triangles from the Paramiters supplied by Les. If you`ve never tried Apophysis, he`s got the links where to get it and contact him for the params to start with. Big thanks to Les for the challenge.

Holy crap ... I should have kept these parameters to meself. :oP

You guys are blowing me away with what you are producing.

Very nice work Ian. Very nice.

Visually, and literally ... there is some great energy to your flames' center. Really liking that aspect.

Colours are great and most apt to the concept I have in mind when viewing your piece here.

I am a bit curious ... first; FULL SIZE VIEW is a must for your flame here. Carrying on ... wonder what other details and/or additional depth could be created or seen if you really cranked up the gamma settings. If any that is.

Compensated with a higher rendering quality ... I have found that all or most of the dreaded 'grain', all but disappears into a smooth colour gradient. Just a thought and no slight against your work here.

Thanks for your participation Ian.

Methinks it turned out well. :o)

The very cool colors complement the array of concentric shapes and separate the shapes well. Nice job Ian. I guess I'll have to give this a go :)

Whatever you didn't use seems to have done the trick. Looks fabulous. I really like images made from these very fine lines Apo. seems to produce in certain styles. Great colours, too. It makes me think of the sea for some reason.

I am honoured to be listed as a friend or to see an image of mine as a favourite, but I keep lists of neither. This helps me appreciate images uploaded by strangers as well as friends. Please understand that a failure to reciprocate in kind indicates a lack of appreciation for neither gesture nor work.

Wow, Ian! Checked out Les' challenge and what Hottrockin did and you'd never know they started out at the same source. Beautiful work and extremely fascinating from the viewpoint of an apophysis no nothing.
