Nice weather on Monday so went out for a BBQ with the family. Our usual place was very busy so went a bit further up the Loch. This is from a place called Firkin Point (Yeah.....I know but it`s the truth). I was going to lose the rooftop to the left but decided to leave it (just think some lucky person lives here). Critique is very welcome.

What a beautiful place! I never seem to find places like that around here. You're very lucky to live in such a beautiful land Ian. Wonderful take on this as well!

I like the quality of the water, and good use of the trees in the foreground.

BBQ by the Loch, sheesh, I tend to think of Lochs and misty gloom, or Lochs and mystic dogs howling under a lambent moon, hard to shift to "Lochs and the family barby." :) There is a smoky tint to the palette, which is great as it's not a light I've seen in any other Loch images I can recall. Perhaps the meeting point of the horizon and waterlines from left and right is a bit too centred.

Ha ha, the name of the place made me laugh! What a wonderful place to live (or BBQ!) Nicely done and I like the natural framing of the trees but I think I might have played with the lighting levels in photoshop a bit to make the picture "pop" a little more and also played with the color just a touch changing the yellow hues a bit greener to give it that lush feel for the foliage. Only minor changes though. I like that the house is there but I would like to see another shot with the house incorporated in the picture. I might have cloned it out of this one, I don't know. I think you shot it perfectly though with the curve line of the water meeting just above the right corner. Oooo, I just realized how much I wrote~ sorry I got carried away :)
