It has quite the eerie feel about it. Never saw one like this before either!..lol..Your brain is working overtime hun! I like the looks of it, but maybe in a different color? What do you think? Hmmmm...Something to think about.

Hey Ian, definitely works mate. The contrast between the sharp bits and the blurred bits is essential to it's effect. The background evokes reflections in some dark surface but don't actually "match" the central object, I think that deceptive visual clue is what gives it the cool unsettling quality. The simplicity also yells "class and elegance". It seems to me that Caedes is a tough audience for fractals, the regulars have a clue but the visitors just here for nice photographic wallpapers tend to only like dramatic and colourful fractals with a high "smack me in the face so I say ooooh" factor. LOL. As I write this it has a 70% download rate, which is damnfine - clear evidence you've hit the spot with this one regardless of what the c-index turns up.

What I think of it is to immedialy send it to the DT! Purple is one of my favorite colors and this design has a really good dimensional feel to it. Nice work, Ian!
