Hey Ian, if you copied it, flipped it and laid the right edge to it's mirror image edge, that would make it close to dt aspect. Just a thought. The 3d quality is striking and the textures are unique.
Always remember - Follow the Yellow Brick Road, it will lead you to the Emerald City and OZ A very nice place to be. Trust me on this one, I live there. The Lion **** MY CAEDES GALLERY****Another Site I'm AT - MY DA HOME PAGE
Finally got some time freed up, and had you on my 'to do list', having seen your first few posts with this new program. "Cityscape" in particular, turned out quite well in addition to your piece here.
An aside:
If the program is only generating/rendering .bmp's ... why not try converting to .png first, and then perhaps a resampling down as well? As some do with Apophysis fractals. Lil' bit of an assist in sharpening things up and on the total file size front, you know?
Carrying on ...
Reminds me a bit of +tbob's works and pieces.
On the note of colour. And seeing as you are just getting to know the ins and outs of the program, this might be a tad premature.
Really like the central 'swirling' and rising portions ... the surrounding squares seem not to be as 'brilliant' or dynamic.
To put you in the ballpark of my thoughts here, think on ... and similar to that of changing the background colours in an Apophyis render/flame. That element/aspect is lacking in sophistication in my very humble opinion.
Taking a cursory look at the outline notes of Incendia 1.0 3D fractal generator ... it does appear to have much more control. In particular, the Render Panel has options for Ambient and Diffuse Textures.
Uhm, right ... back to your image.
Nice work, Ian. Really looking forward to seeing more results from you with this program. Very promising, indeed.
Ditching Bryce are we?
:oP
Just kidding. Thanks for sharing your creativity with us, and the link(s) are appreciated as well in bringing this program to our collective attentions.
holy smoke! just caught up with this. I'm gonna go with Beetlejuice meets the Animaniacs. Love it.
Details, perspective (spiral, and lines of composition) colors are all over the top, without being excessive.
Please, even if you don't visit my gallery, check out my "Faves".I've left them intact since day "1", and would like it if every image there got the attention they deserved.
