Decided to do a selective colour work using Adobe Photoshop Elements 10. I lightened the colours of the iris some so it's a little lighter then the original. I also cropped it some.

Sorry I took the 1st try of the B/W version, wasn't quit satisfied with it, so here's the final work. Hope you enjoy the results, let me know your thoughts.

As you might remember I posted this beautiful Iris called: Christmas. Thought I'd like to enter this into the B/W Challenge.

Thank You in Advance for you comment and for stopping by.

Have a great day, ♥ Skates

I'll be back a little later, need to do a bit of house cleaning.

Good editing on these Pat. Not fully B/W but you have made the background monochrome and that makes a good bokeh.

White is a very difficult tone to edit. Somewhat too much brightness and all the details are gone. Somewhat too much contrast may give the feeling that one is looking to a gray flower.
Pat, when I see however your editing result, there remains only one thing for me: giving you my compliments!
Very well done my friend. Join me in Raj's above comment as well about the bokeh!

Regards, Cornelius.

As always you had to be the perfectionist again to annoy those who have already commented:) I was lucky I did not!:) Only started to read your intro as I had to approve of the image.
And again this is another case when monochrome makes an image much more interesting...! Very good editing here, dear agent.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
