This beautiful peony is called: "Bowl of Beauty" further along on my long walk this morning (2015, 07-11) in 28C/82.4F sunny day with high humidity. Then I went home and had a swim to cool off.

Just loved the sun shinning on this gorgeous peony showing us the lovely rich colour.

I used Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 to bring out more detail, did not touch the colour and used iPiccy.com to make it smaller.

Have a Super Day, ♥ Skates

Lovely peony here Pat - slight overexposure here but when it is in the bright sunlight that cannot be helped. You could do two things: Get a CPL filter size 52 mm for Nikon D3200 (Amazon) cost about $10 or so - (to be screwed on the end of the lens) and/or change the white balance to bright sunlight in such circumstances.

You're Gonna miss that pool..White balance has nothing to do with exposure,It only controls the colour temperature..To avoid any over exposure,One can use spot metering on the brightest part of the image,In this case the center of the flower..That will bring the rest of the image exposure into line....Lovely picture....R.

I wish I was a Glow Worm, a Glow Worm's never glum, 'cause how can you be grumpy, when the sun shines out your bum?

I agree with Richie's advice about the spot metering. I've used that before when shooting into water such as a Koi pond or on white flowers in very bright sunlight. Although honestly I try not to shoot in very bright sunlight as I prefer light and shadows in most shots. Having said all that It's a beautiful peony!!
