Captured this a Oct. 2017 at the St. Louis Zoo and saw the 2 butterflies called: Paper Kite Butterflies on the blossom. Thought this would be a good Foofy with a Bonus.

I know it's not the best shot like others here that have fabulous butterfly shots, but had fun trying. Do not have a clue what kind it is but very pretty.

I have a similar problem. I get excited about a great image and then can't hold the camera steady enough or get the focus wrong in my rush. It appears they are mating.

You were very lucky to get this shot Pat - I believe they are Paper Kite butterflies and it does appear that they are mating - Great Capture!!!!!!!!
