This collage I created this afternoon to show you 3 images captured from the top of the Gateway Arch National Park, St. Louis Missouri. Image on the Left: looking down towards the Old Court House also love the shadow of the Arch below. Upper Right Looking over to Busch Stadium. Lower Right Is our ride to the top, this is just a model of the actual one. The actual Capsule is 5-foot diameter barrel that is open on the front & seats 5 people. The door opening is only 4 feet high & the capsule rotates approximately 155 degrees during the trip to the top of the Arch.

Thank You for your Time and Comments in Advance.

Will comment later on & Enjoy Your Day.

Wonderful view, I could not even stand to look out when I got to the top. Just off one elevator back on to the one going down. I was a chicken!!!

I think you know which photo of the three is my favorite Skates.
Great view and wonderful collage.
I think this would qualify for the new Photojournalism gallery.

Great shot Pat! I keep forgetting that you can actually ride to the top of the arch. By the way, it's "Busch" stadium. I work for Busch Gardens which got its name from the Busch's of St.Louis.

Interesting pictures all three. Must be quite an experience to go to the top of the arch.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

Not being real fond of heights (this from an old fart who'll climb 70 feet into a tree to cut it down!) I'm not sure I could do this, any more than I could have ridden to the top of the World Trade Center, but I'm sure glad you did it for me, Pat. And not only did you go up there but you included several images to explain how you "rose to the occasion". I had no idea the manner of conveyance was this unique. Thanks for the lesson in mechanics and St. Louis, Pat. I was just through there in March, meeting up with Mimi, and somehow never even thought to look up and discover the arch. Next time.
