I like the concept here... the top is so bright compared to the rest of the iamge I didn't think it was real at first. Not sure you have quite pulled this off but I can't say exactly why. Looking forward to more.

First ... I took a quick peek and tour through your galleries and there is some exceptional work there. :o)

Now, your image here ...

I like what you did with the 'borders.' Very subtle and quite effective in drawing your eye to your focal point. I almost ... almost didn't catch that element.

Detail and clarity is good. Was this a handheld shot? Just curious, 'cause it does appear that the DOF is good, wondering if there was some artistic licence taken to convey your concept.

Your title, or part of ... really speaks to other elements I really enjoy; the colour palate for one and the use of textures. That in and of itself has me asking for more of this setting ... and as a humble request ... no slight intended ... just the calm this time.

Concept, interesting ... image ... good, if not very good.

I echo the above in that, as I said you have some very interesting visuals up for perusal in your gallery ... and this is no exception. Nice work.

The reversal here is intellectually satisfying, as is the contrast between the muted context and the bright top. The context looks like it's spinning and the top is stationary, I got that, and liked it. The use of borders is also excellent. I didn't like the muted pallete, but that's personal taste and can't see how you'd do what you did without the muted pallete. The overall effect for me was to suggest you have an interesting mind!

Hey David,
That's a really nice frame you made there. I think I used to have one of those tops when I was young :). Keep up the good work!

i want to like this more than i do...........it is, i know, an effort to attempt something akin to story-telling via a photo; it does hint but does not complete.......the texturews , colours, top and the juxtaposition are intriguing but fail to commit to a point of view.it seems scattered to me.......the toy top is especially surreal and makes for causing one to wonder about it and its meaning........would like to hear you explain this some....keep going.......experimenting is always good. You may take some cues from Manray or Marcel Duchamps
